About LakeLevelHQ

Last updated

LakeLevelHQ is a free directory of water levels for lakes and reservoirs in the United States. You do not need to register and we do not ask for any data.

Why it exists

The official data is public, but it is spread across several agencies and is often hard to read. We wanted a fast site, with no apps or sign-ups, that shows at a glance how each lake is doing today and where that number comes from.

Who makes it

LakeLevelHQ is maintained by Angel Vicedo, who also runs acalcular.com and arepostar.com.

How we work

  • Official data only. Every level comes from the U.S. Geological Survey, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers or the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation. We never make up or fill in a reading.
  • With date and time. Every page says when its reading was taken and who reported it.
  • Unofficial site. We are not affiliated with any agency. It is not for navigation or flood safety decisions: check the official source linked on each lake page.
