Your location in “Lakes near me”
We only ask for it when you press “Find lakes near me”, and it is your browser that asks for your permission. The coordinates are used on your device to sort lakes by distance: they are not sent to any server, stored or shared.

- Google Ireland Limited, as the provider of Google Analytics, if you accept analytics cookies. Google may process data outside the European Economic Area; in that case, the transfer relies on the safeguards provided for in the GDPR, such as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.
- The web hosting provider, which processes the server logs on behalf of the controller.
How long we keep data
- Analytics: the retention period set in Google Analytics, which does not exceed 14 months.
- Emails: the time needed to reply to you and, afterwards, for the legal limitation periods for any possible liability.
- Server logs: the minimum time needed for security reasons.
Your rights
You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and portability by writing to hello@lakelevelhq.com. You can withdraw your consent to analytics cookies at any time with the “Cookie settings” button in the page footer.
If you believe we have not handled your rights correctly, you can file a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es).
U.S. state privacy laws
Residents of U.S. states with consumer privacy laws, such as California, may have the right to know, delete and correct their personal data, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. To exercise them, write to the address above. We do not sell your personal information or share it for targeted advertising.
When ads are shown, a “Do not sell or share my personal information” option will be available through Google’s consent message, and we will update this policy.
Advertising
When the site shows Google AdSense ads, we will update this policy and add a consent management system certified by Google so you can choose whether to accept personalized ads.
